14 trained cooks in Bratsigovo

Fourteen newly trained cooks successfully completed their training and were awarded their vocational certificates in Bratsigovo. Eight of these young people are form the Vassil Petleshkov home. They worked hard to learn the skills that would guarantee them professional success in the future. The training is part of the I Can. On Equal Terms project, funded by BTK Group in partnership with Blagotvoritel Foundation and JobTiger. Six of the graduates are participants in the Establishing a Social Services Centre in the Municipality of Bratsigovo project. The vocational course in cookery is part of the preparation of young people staying at the “Transitional home” for independent life – a new service implemented under the project. The project is working towards the restructuring of the Ana Gizdova home into a centre for social services. The “Day Centre” service is already available for children at risk from the community. The Project is funded under the Phare program and is implemented by the Blagotvoritel Foundation in partnership with Foundation Step by Step and Love for Our Children Association. The vocational skills and the certification will give young people better chances in finding adequate jobs.
